The Sunday of June – which since the beginning of 2015 has been in line with the ministerial initiative, extending free entry to all visitors – presents, with the support of Giotto-FILA, a special program dedicated to families.

In addition to the usual visits for adults – the Visits to the Monumental Quarters, the Secret Routes and the section Traces of Florence in Palazzo Vecchio, the Museo Novecento and Santa Maria Novella, the Forte di Belvedere – are therefore planned numerous initiatives dedicated to families, to discover the extraordinary “open-air museum” that is the historic center of Florence. Itineraries designed specifically for children and their parents will be presented, suggesting a new look at the most famous monuments but also the lesser known places. It will also be possible to enjoy free of charge the Kit Firenze Family tour, which in ten stages retraces “in small steps” the wonders of the city. And, as for the contemporary, a great artistic workshop at the Murate to imagine, draw and create their own ideal place and workshops for the exhibition Human by Antony Gormley at the Fort of Belvedere.

Free guided tours continue to the Museum of Mercy in Piazza Duomo at 15.15 and 16.30. The Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi also adheres to the day by offering a free guided tour (admission fee) at the two exhibitions Power and pathos. Bronzes of the Hellenistic world and Even the sculptures die (reservation required)..
