The Trio7090 – Bas Wiegers violin, Koen Kaptijn trombone, Nora Mulder piano – seeks inspiration from new music, in random projects and improvised performances and modern music. In 2007 the Trio recorded and produced the acclaimed CD “Béton Armé”, with chamber music by Iannis Xenakis. The Trio regularly collaborates with other musicians, composers, visual artists and sound designers. This new way of programming led to the establishment of its own series of concerts, SNEAK 7090, in the Bethaniënklooster in Amsterdam. In 2010-2011 the trio collaborated with composer and performer Michael Finnissy, Michael Moore and improvisational composers Field of Ears. Together with Orgelpark Amsterdam, Trio 7090 organizes the Xenakis Festival, to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the death of this great composer.

The Trio has previously worked with artists such as Cor Fuhler, Eric de Clercq, Michiel Braam, James Fulkerson, Hugo Herrera Tobón, Clare Gallagher and Vincent de Rijk. In addition to their work with Trio7090, Bas, Koen and Nora work with ensembles such as Ensemble MAE, Corkestra, Netherlands Youth String Orchestra, New Trombone Collective, Asko | Schönberg and Pianoduo Post & Mulder.
