As every year, on the occasion of November 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, the Museo Novecento is organizing a special project with the intention of making this celebration even more topical, as well as symbolic, by involving contemporary female authors and reaffirming the importance of a social, political and cultural commitment against all types of violence and gender discrimination.

Until Dec. 10, Antonietta Raphaël Mafai’s work Fiori Secchi will remain on display exceptionally accompanied by a new episode of the podcast Labirito900, curated by Fuochi, which will explore the meaning and importance of celebrating Nov. 25 by repudiating any kind of violence and discrimination acted in the name of love.

This year the project involves historian and singer-songwriter Letizia Fuochi, who will present a live event entitled Quello che tu chiami amore (What You Call Love) beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the Cinema Room of the Museo Novecento. On this occasion, the work Fiori Secchi by Antonietta Raphaël Mafai (Kaunas, July 29, 1895 – Rome, Sept. 5, 1975), from the deposits of the civic collections, will be exhibited.

Admission to the event will be free while places last.
