The actress will interpret “L’amica geniale”, saga become literary case and successful TV series on Rai 1

The literary case that has overlwhelmed millions of lectors all around the world is the focus of the appointment with Anna Bonaiuto, the special guest who on Monday, June 4 from 8.45p.m will read L’amica geniale by Elena Ferrante at Museo Novecento (Santa Maria Novella square, 10 – free admission until seats are available). The evening is organized by Wimbledon Association in collaboration with Museo Novecento and MUS.E Association and it’s one of the appointments to approach the festival La Città dei Lettori, which will take place from 7 to 9 June at Villa Bardini for three days of meetings, masterclass, book party and guided tours with more than fifty guests (the entire programm is available on www.cittadeilettori.it).

The saga became international editorial case and, then, tv series that has kept glued millions of viewers on Rai 1, will be interpreted by the actress already protagonist of Il divo by Sorrentino, Il Caimano by Moretti and Mio fratello è figlio unico by Luchetti. A sodalice, that between Bonaiuto and the writer from the secret identity, started in 1995, when the actress approached the narrative world of Ferrante exorcising in L’amore molesto by Martone, the cinematographic transposition of the first novel of tetralogy. Bonaiuto gave voice to the four volumes of the adventures by Elena and Lilia –  L’amica geniale, Storia del nuovo cognome, Storia di chi fugge e di chi resta, Storia della bambina perduta – in the audiobooks for Emons Edizioni, history of women, shaped, twisted and sometimes destroyed by the reality that sorrounds themselves, more often still by men. In the backgroung, among a crowd of minor characters, flows the history of our country from the 50s to today.
