After the great summer success, Novecento Live is back in rerun: four encounters that weave storytelling and performance to experience the encounter with the art and artists of the twentieth century, overcoming the knowledge connected only to their works.
The events of Novecento live by MUS.E devote their attention precisely to the life and poetics of some of the great protagonists of Italian art of the twentieth century, well represented in the Florentine civic collections. The meetings are structured as real stories, to which the visual representation in the form of a “still image” will be intertwined live. In the interweaving of narration and performance, each appointment will thus allow you to approach the biographical, poetic and historical events of the different characters in a particularly engaging way, capturing their particularities and curiosities.
The calendar opens with the eclectic Severo Pozzati to continue with Arturo Martini, to whom an exhibition in the museum is dedicated, with Filippo De Pisis, getting lost in its depths and mysteries and with the lively Gino Severini. Finally, to realize how much everything concerns us and unites us: “there are those who live in time that has touched them / ignoring that time is reversible / like a typewriter tape. / Those who dig into the past can understand / that past and future are just / a millionth of a moment apart.” (Eugenio Montale)
