Where and when

On April 30, the first Night of the Florentine Summer, will be child-friendly: the MUS.E Association, in collaboration with the Florentine Civic Museums and the Florentine Municipal Libraries, thanks to the support of Mukki, offers children and their families a rich program of activities and events. All initiatives in the name of reading and book, key themes of the evening. So here at Palazzo Vecchio we read the stories of colors (Red and White, Topipittori); we listen to the strange encounter between a child and a turtle (Fable of the turtle with the sail, Polistampa); we smell the ancient myth of the four elements (Water, Air, Fire, Earth, Mandragora) and travel on the pages of an illustrated book to discover the world (Maps, Electa). .

At the Museo Novecento, instead, the letters are transformed, enriched with infinite artistic potential, thanks to the activities dedicated to the alphabet of Sonia Delaunay (Alphabet, Babalibri) and to that of Erté (The Alphabet of Erté, Alternative Printing)while the cloister magically becomes a corner of the countryside with new artist cows grazing (An outing at the museum). Again, at Le Murate. Projects Contemporary Art, is the children’s body to be a letter and reading with the workshop of Kinkaleri The alphabet with the body.

Finally in the Library: at the Oblates the little ones make their ears to follow the flight of a bronze pig (Il porcellino di bronzo by H. C. Andersen) and to listen, with the attention of always, the story of the most famous puppet in the world (Pinocchio, ed. La Margherita) … to say goodbye, in all the Libraries Boys, with the Fairy Tales of Good Night.

For the occasion, the Palazzo Vecchio Museum and the Novecento Museum will be open free of charge until 11.p.m.
