Wednesday, March 15 – 5.30pm
Speakers: Bruno Casini, Ilaria Cicali, Maria Luisa Frisa, Giorgia Marotta
The editorial project “Westuff” was born in Florence in 1984 from the meeting with Bruno Casini, Stefano Tonchi and Maria Luisa Frisa, happened when the city was interested by a great cultural and young excitement. “Westuff” proposes – from a privileged observatory – an image of Florence as it could have been during those years, of Italian and international artistic scenes including their art, fashion, music and theater, with a look towards the great capitals such as London, Paris and New York. The outcome is a magazine that recalls the most hidden artistic and creative situations as well as wider phenomena such as fashion as a powerful communication system. Through the dialogue with Bruno Casini, Maria Luisa Frisa, Ilaria Cicali and Giorgia Marotta, we will retrace the story of the magazine and its role within the cultural scene of that time.
