The answer in a workshop organized at the Museo Novecento by the Master of Art in Museum Studies of Marist College – Lorenzo de ‘Medici Institute

The film The Square, directed by Ruben Östlund in 2017 and Palme d’Or in Cannes, will be screened in the museum’s Cinema Room. Following Sergio Risaliti, director of the Museo Novecento and Patrizia Asproni, president of the Marino Marini Museum, will comment on the film and analyze the mechanisms of contemporary art and communication techniques

A workshop dedicated to the relationship between museums and cinema organized by the Master of Art in Museum Studies of Marist College – Lorenzo de ‘Medici Institute. For the occasion, the film The Square, directed by Ruben Östlund in 2017 and Palme d’Or in Cannes in the same year, will be screened in its original language with English subtitles. The film is an entertaining investigation into the mechanisms of the world of contemporary art, through the adventures of the curator of an important museum in Stockholm.

After the screening of the film Sergio Risaliti, director of the Museo Novecento and Patrizia Asproni, president of the Marino Marini Museum, will comment on the film and analyze the mechanisms of contemporary art and communication techniques.
The workshop is dedicated to students of the Master in Museum Studies of Marist College – Lorenzo de ‘Medici Institute and to students of the Museology course of the University of Florence (SAGAS).
