The curator of the volume Angela Sanna in conversation with Susanna Ragionieri
A collection of written texts by the great master of the twentieth century Lucio Fontana (Rosario di Santa Fè, 1899-Varese, 1968): posters, texts and interviews displaying, together with the theory of Spatialism, the artist’s opinions on the art of his time and on the various fields explored by him, from ceramics to sculpture, from painting to installations. The pages also reveal other facets of Fontana’s artistic life by way of interviews granted to critics, journalists and intellectuals, from Carla Lonzi to Pierre Restany, from Umberto Eco to Giorgio Bocca. These recollections go together with those showing the cultural and human contribution Fontana offered to young artists and movements of the national and international scene. The volume, by Angela Sanna, is edited by Abscondita, Milano within the series Carte d’artisti. Admittance is free while seats last and does not include the access to the museum.
