Appointment on Wednesday 17 April at 6 pm at the Museo Novecento with the presentation of the volume “The child’s mustache – writings on art and artists” (Quodlibet edizioni), a book that collects the texts on art that Luca Bertolo, for twenty years, alongside his activity as a painter.

The author confronts, within the book, with very specific thematic nuclei, such as the relationship between art and politics or the status of contemporary painting in the context of an art that is supposed to be post-media, reflecting at the same time on the current crisis of art criticism. These themes are variously declined by Bertolo through the portraits of artists of his generation, the reviews of exhibitions and more general theoretical reflections, always remaining faithful to the urgency of showing the essential aspects of his own artistic practice against the light.

The book is accompanied by an introductory text by Davide Ferri, Writing and painting and the unpublished The Passion of the Rectangle, by Tiziano Scarpa.

The presentation at the Museo Novecento will see, together with the author, the art historian and writer Michele Dantini and the artist Flavio Favelli.
