The Museum presents a journey back from the 1990s to the beginning of the 20th century. The itinerary starts with the rooms containing the works on free loan illustrating the last decades from the end of the century, when the Tuscan arts scene showed exceptional fervor.
Then come the civic collections, with Carlo Ludovico Ragghianti’s core collection which arrived after the flood, including the exceptional Alberto Magnelli bequest. The itinerary continues with references to Fashion and to the birth of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and with the exposition of the Alberto Della Ragione collection, which comprehensively illustrates Italian art in the first half of the 20th century. The subject of reviews and literature accompanies the viewing of the works belonging to the first decades of the century. The itinerary ends offering a critical reflection on the idea of Florence in Cinema.
