Free admission with compulsory reservation

On 12 and 13 December at the Museo Novecento in Florence there will be “Museums, audencies technologies”, a conference in which the themes that revolve around the life of museums will be addressed.
Round tables, case studies and talks will create an opportunity to examine the topic of technologies and their impact on cultural mediation.

The days, curated by Museo Novecento and financed thanks to the call of the Tuscany Region “Projects for systems of museums and ecomuseums”, see the collaboration of the Fiesole Museums, the Primo Conti Foundation, the Museo degli Innocenti and Mus.e – Florentine Civic Museums.
The conference is aimed at scholars, curators and museum operators, as well as artists and professionals working on the territory and nationally. “Public technology museums” is a precious opportunity to consolidate a network of regional action, as well as some existing collaborations between the Florentine Civic Museums and local and national institutions.

There will be artists, curators, teachers and professionals engaged for years in the development and practice of alternative models of museum design, training in the arts, relations with technologies and cultural mediation.
Offering themselves as a platform for shared research and training, the work sessions are intended to represent an interesting moment of participatory study, as well as provide an opportunity for updating for insiders working in museums. The program of the days will be divided into four thematic areas:

· Museology and the public: which story?
· Training as an artistic practice
· Cultural heritage between audiences and technologies
· Practices and methodologies for museum mediation
