Itinerant lecture at the Museum: the role played by Alberto Della Ragione in defending the artists shunned by the regime.
Between the end of the Thirties and the beginning of the Forties, the collector and patron of the arts Alberto Della Ragione defended and supported the art disapproved by the regime both through his buying strategy and offering his protection to artists oppressed for political or racial reasons. On the occasion of the Remembrance Day the Museum offers an itinerant tour especially focusing on the works by Guttuso and the Mafai couple (Mario Mafai and Antonietta Raphael), who took refuge in Della Ragione’s house during the persecutions.
