1 July 2021

Museo Novecento in collaboration with Euterpe Music Association and Fondazione Scuola di Musica di Fiesole presents the third season of PianoNovecento: an eight-evening kermesse with classical concerts, jazz and multimedia performances inside the cloister of the former Leopoldine.

After the success of the first two editions, the third season of PianoNovecento, the festival dedicated to the key figures of the musical history of the last century and to the piano, leading instrument of twentieth-century creativity and the main laboratory of composers, returns to the Museo Novecento. Curated and conceived by the Florentine pianist Riccardo Sandiford, PianoNovecento was born in 2019 as a musical project mainly dedicated to the piano production of the last century and as a conservation and protection plan for the huge repertoire produced in the twentieth century.

In this third year of concert programme, the public will be able to attend traditional classical concerts, historical and contemporary jazz and multimedia performances with original music.

Renowned pianists and instrumentalists, creative artists and composers and even emerging young people, chosen from the most prestigious national musical institutions, will perform for eight evenings in the museum cloister, with free admission for the public, giving life to an evocative and varied festival.
